Version 2.1.0-beta9 (xx.11.2024)
- Fixed accessibility for port number TextFields
Version 2.1.0-beta8 (10.11.2024)
- Changed tooltips and Voiceover accessibility in Settings
- Changed in Shortcuts list: inactive shortcuts are not hidden anymore (applies to Speaker B Mute, Ext In, Mute FX)
Version 2.1.0-beta7 (05.11.2024)
- Added a warning dialog when allowing Beta updates.
Version 2.1.0-beta6 (04.11.2024)
- New: Added German localization: Other languages may follow. The manual is not yet translated.
- For german users: If you prefer using ControlPilot in English, you can easily switch off german localization:
- Go to macOS Systemeinstellungen > Allgemein > Sprache & Region, click the (+) Plus-sign under the box "Apps, Spracheinstellungen für die folgenden Apps anpassen" and add ControlPilot to the list.
- Updated the manual.
- Enhanced & localized Accessibility for users relying on VoiceOver.
- Changed: SpeakerB Link icon was removed in Compact layout. It was colliding with the text.
- Changed: Under the hood, there are some code changes concerning how the channel mappings are handled and stored. It should not affect the user, but please send me a message if something unexpected happens.
Version 2.1.0-beta5 (03.10.2024)
- *Volume Focus finally works the way I imagined it when I started!_
- New:: Separate options for Volume Focus Mute & Un-Mute
- New:: Speaker B button in 'compact' and 'flat' layouts.
- Fixed: Volume Focus Mute did not work on Main and Speaker B
- Updated tooltips and documentation.
Version 2.1.0-beta4 (30.09.2024)
Please test thoroughly all mute and volume shortcuts, as in this build a lot of code tightening has happened under the hood.
- Fixed: TotalMix auto-saving check could be falsely reporting "enabled" if a newer TM version was rolled back to pre-1.96.
- Fixed: When no Speaker B was set, Main Mute shortcut would also unexpectedly mute Channel 1.
- Fixed: Focus un-mute did not work in certain conditions.
- Fixed: Focus submix did not work on Channel 1.
Version 2.1.0-beta3 (23.09.2024)
- Changed: Settings > Shortcuts > Cue Hotkeys: The selected channel is now saved by its channel number, so you could rename a channel and the key stays with it. I think this is what most people would expect. This change does not keep your old setting, you need to select the desired channel once again.
- New: Settings > Shortcuts > Cue Hotkeys: Cue channels are displayed by there number and user-defined name (if available).
- New: Settings > Channel Assignment: The Device list is now sorted by file modification date.
- New: Settings > About: "Email Support", if you don't use a standard mail app, click the blue clipboard icon to copy system info to clipboard.
- Fixed a layout issue that caused the Popover window's anchor arrow to appear misaligned with menu bar icon.
Version 2.1.0-beta2 (13.09.2024)
- Fixed: Control Room assignment strategy was not saved between app launches. After applying this update, check that the correct strategy is selected. (This bug was introduced in 2.1.0-beta1)
- Fixed: Some buttons had inconsistent color.
- Changed: Some tooltips were updated.
- New: Settings > About: If the app is a beta version, the version string is displayed in yellow.
- New: Settings > About: Click on the version string to see to the release notes in web browser.
Version 2.1.0-beta1 (12.09.2024)
- New: Added 2 checkboxes in HUD Setup to toggle the HUD text color and HUD mini-button outline color between black and white. A full color picker for both would also be easy to implement, but I thought it would become a too overwhelming amount of options, right?
Version 2.0.1 (08.09.2024)
This is the first official release of ControlPilot version 2!
Many things have been fixed and improved, and there are new features:
- A new Overlay layout option: Flat. It is a perfect fit for the upper right corner of Pro Tools' Edit window - and a cool new design for everyone else.
- New: Extended Volume Focus: Volume display follows mute/un-mute/dim changes (optional).
- New: Extended Volume Focus: Select a Volume Focus Base channel (Main/Phones 1-4), this is the channel the display returns to after timeout.
- New: Device selection for multi-interface configurations.
- New: 3 different Channel Assignment strategies (Automatic from Device settings, Automatic from OSC names, Manual).
- New: Shortcut "Flip width on selected Playback channel".
- New: Added HUI protocol to receive transport states from DAW. (Pro Tools 2024.3 has dropped M-Audio protocol support).
- New: ControlPilot can now handle 24 channels at once without noticeable performance drop. In ControlPilot 1, it was recommended to keep TotalMix OSC controller's bank size at 8.
- New: Adjustable HUD Overlay background color.
- New: Shortcuts: Added an option to filter the list for keyboard shortcuts with an assigned key. This makes it easier to look up the shortcuts that are in use.
- New: To exit Overlay setup mode, use the Escape key.
- New: With the new setting in TotalMix 1.96+ "Save changes regularly (1 min)" selected, ControlPilot can now get updated settings that are not communicated via OSC. As a starter, the manual 'Refresh' Button will not need to restart TM if it has the new setting selected.
There are 2 important changes:
- The required minimum macOS version is macOS 12 (Monterey).
- TotalMix 1.96 introduced breaking changes to OSC messaging. ControlPilot 1 does not run with TotalMix 1.96 and higher.
ControlPilot version 2 is free for all owners of version 1.
Version 2.0.1beta1 (21.12.2023)
- first beta version, see below for changes.
ControlPilot Version 2.0 beta
- Improved reading of TotalMix settings file.
- Added TotalMix device selection (Be careful that device selection matches OSC ports!).
- Improved methods for choosing ControlRoom mappings.
- Added watcher for new TotalMix settings (TM was quit) with automatic mappings refresh if "Automatic from Device" is selected".
- Until ControlPilot 1.1.0 it was necessary to have TotalMix'S OSC bank size at 8. ControlPilot can now manage 24 channels at once without noticeable performance drop. This matches better with RME's interface line-up.
- Improved stability for Volume Focus.
- If you run into undefined issues when after updating from version 1 to 2, it is advisable to do a "Reset" > "all except Shortcuts".
